On April 15, VJH Foundation launched its annual spring appeal, this year rallying community support to purchase a Giraffe. This essential neonatal equipment mimics the womb and helps premature and critically ill babies grow stronger.

Families in the North Okanagan now have improved access to maternity care thanks to the newly  opened Orchard Maternity Vernon (OMV), a dedicated clinic located at the Vernon Health Unit (1440 14^th Avenue).

A new Medical Imaging Donor Wall was recently installed at Vernon Jubilee Hospital, honouring the community generosity that has transformed diagnostic care across the North Okanagan.

Construction is well underway on the JoeAnna’s House expansion, which will add 10 new rooms to support even more North Okanagan families needing to stay close to loved ones receiving care at Kelowna General Hospital.

The new, state-of-the-art X-ray suite at Vernon Jubilee Hospital means up to 10,000 more images can be done every year – people in the North Okanagan now have better access to important diagnostic care.

This year’s Light A Bulb set out to fund urgently needed surgical equipment for Vernon Jubilee Hospital (VJH) – and the community delivered.

This December 2, on GivingTuesday, all donations to Light A Bulb will be matched up to $200,000. This incredible opportunity for donors to double their impact is thanks to a generous donation from Anita Finlay – a long-time supporter of VJH Foundation.

On November 19, VJH Foundation launched its 39th annual Light A Bulb holiday appeal, a cherished tradition that embodies the spirit of giving in our community. This year, the campaign focuses on raising funds to bring urgently needed surgical equipment to VJH.

A new Youth Mental Health Pod opened at VJH to respond to the demand for safe, effective and age-appropriate acute mental health services for youth in the North Okanagan between 12 and 18.

Participants enjoyed a day of sunshine, golf and smiles at the 16^th Annual VJH Foundation Charity Classic golf tournament at Predator Ridge Resort, which raised over $500,000 for urgently needed medical equipment.

VJHF is pleased to announce the deepening partnership with KGH Foundation for the upcoming JoeAnna’s House expansion.

Residents of Pleasant Valley Manor and Parkview Place, located in Armstrong and Enderby respectively, celebrated the arrival of a custom-built recreation bus at their Music in the Parking Lot event on Saturday, June 14.
