Getting closer to Light A Bulb Campaign goal
With 9 days left to go until Christmas, the 31stannual Light A Bulb Campaign has picked up a lot of momentum and the VernonJubilee Hospital Foundation expects to reach our $275,000 goal.
“We are getting closer and are so thrilled withthe generosity of our community,” says Lisa Westermark, Executive Director,Vernon Jubilee Hospital Foundation. “Seeing people come together and hearingwhy they are donating to Light A Bulb is what inspires us to do our work.”
Organizations who have donated to Light A Bulbinclude Country Squire Barbers & Stylists and the Vernon Japanese Women’sAuxiliary.
The campaign will provide VJH surgeons with theequipment needed to perform more surgeries, ultimately reducing wait times andimproving patient outcomes so our loved ones can get on the road to recoverymuch sooner.
1 in 10 people living in the North Okanagan havereceived surgery at Vernon Jubilee Hospital in the past year. That means you,or someone you know, have been touched by the services of the hospital. We havehad people come forward to give anything they can because they recognize theimportance of healthcare in our community and want to make a difference. Nogift is too small and we are grateful for all contributions.
