Vernon Jubilee Hospital Foundation and Vernon Prostate Cancer Support & Awareness Group would like to thank the sponsors, volunteers and participants who made the 14th Annual DO IT FOR DAD such a success, especially our presenting sponsor Interior Savings.
The event took place at Coldstream Ranch under sunny skies with entertainment provided by the Kalamalka Highlanders Pipe Band and the Kalamalka Caring Klowns. 370 participants were sent off by the by the siren of a fire truck from the Coldstream Fire Department. The money raised from this year’s event will purchase a Resectoscope, for Vernon Jubilee Hospital, used in the treatment of prostate cancer and to provide free PSA testing for men in our community.
It was a Do It For Dad record, raising $38,850.00 that stays locally in our North Okanagan community. The event was also successful in creating awareness around the need for early diagnosis and treatment of Prostate Cancer.
