Light A Bulb Campaign picks up momentum

The 31st annual Light A Bulb Campaigngot off to a slow start but things are picking up for the Vernon JubileeHospital Foundation. We have raised $197,000 towards our $275,000 goal.

This is due to a flood of donations that had beenheld up in the mail and a generous donation of $70,000 from the ArmstrongSpallumcheen Healthcare Auxiliary.

“We are grateful for the ongoing support of theArmstrong Spallumcheen Healthcare Auxiliary. This group of dedicated, hardworkingvolunteers makes such a huge difference.” says Lisa Westermark, ExecutiveDirector, Vernon Jubilee Hospital Foundation. “Their $70,000 gift really helpedbring us closer to reaching our fundraising target and our goal of helpingpeople to get their surgeries more quickly.”

Other local organizations who have contributed tothe Light A Bulb Campaign include: Corner Optical, PJ DeVries Construction, andBeta Sigma Phi Vernon. But there is still $78,000 left to go andthe Vernon Jubilee Hospital Foundation needs your help.

This campaign will provide VJH surgeons with the equipmentneeded to perform more surgeries, ultimately reducing wait times and improvingpatient outcomes so our loved ones can get on the road to recovery much sooner.

Help light the tree on top of the hospital! Each$35 tax deductible gift will light one bulb on the tree of lights; $500 willlight an entire string. Every gift, great or small, brings us closer to raising$275,000 for critical equipment at VJH.
