GivingTuesday Raises $193,000 Towards a Next-Generation X-Ray Machine at VJH

Thanks to your generosity on GivingTuesday, the VJH Foundation is closer than ever to our goal of purchasing a next-generation X-ray machine for VJH.

A total of $193,000 was raised during yesterday’s global day of giving, through community donations and $50,000 in matching gifts from Grizzly Curb & Concrete and Linda & Gord Ball.

“From the bottom of our hearts, thank you,” says VJH Foundation Executive Director, Kate McBrearty. “Current wait times for X-rays in our region can be up to three to four weeks, which is too long for people in need of timely diagnosis and treatment. Your generosity is helping to increase access to diagnostics and reduce wait times for people in the North Okanagan.”

The VFH Foundation will continue to raise funds towards an additional X-ray machine through our Light a Bulb holiday campaign. To learn more or to donate, visit www.vjhfoundation.org/light-a-bulb
