VJHF Charity Classic Aces Another Golf Event

The 7th Annual Charity Classic Golf Tournament held May 28 at Predator Ridge was an overwhelming success, netting $178,300 to purchase surgical tools for the ORs at Vernon Jubilee Hospital.The tournament has raised $1,178,400 net since 2010. The success of the event is thanks to Predator Ridge, its members and residents who annually support this event financially. “Without the generosity of our sponsors each year this impressive amount of money could not be raised," said Sue Beaudry, Director of Development, VJH Foundation. "This is an important event for our Hospital and I wish to thank our major sponsors who helped make it happen: TELUS, Predator Ridge, Noble Outfitters, TOLKO, Wayside Co, Black & McDonald, Paul Docksteader Foundation, RBCDS, Silver Star Mountain Resort, Stutters DKI, Westwood, Okanagan Spring, Capri Insurance, Hillside Winery and all of our Hole sponsors."This year, golfers voted Gumtree Catering, Olive Us & Falcon Point Residents the winner of the Best Hole award. Golfers were swayed by the extraordinary beverage served with delicious chicken skewers and Asian slaw.More than $10,000 worth of prizes were awarded at the tournament. Team BUY-LOW Foods was the low gross winners of the Corporate Challenge awarded in memory of Herb Paterson, one of the original founders of Predator Ridge.
