VJH Foundation Gives $1,648,623 to Improve Health Care

Last year, Vernon Jubilee Hospital Foundation granted more than $1,600,000 to health care needs in the North Okanagan including $1,250,611 to Tower of Care Phase II; $112,003 to the Lions Vision Centre in Armstrong; $78,988 to Women’s & Children’s Health Services; $57,631 to residential care in Vernon, Armstrong, Enderby & Lumby, and $54,923 to the Emergency Department.

Funds were designated to furnish the 6th and 7th floors of Polson Tower, purchase equipment for VJH and IH facilities in the North Okanagan, and provide staff training and support for progrmas at VJH, IH-managed Residential Care Facilities and Community Health programs throughout the North Okanagan.
Support from our community gives hope and health to North Okanagan residents.
Some of the people who have benefited from donations include:
  • the dad who suffered critical injuries in an accident and the hospital staff who were able to save his live because they had gold standard emergency room trauma training funded by the Foundation...

  • the newborn who needed Resuscitation and Infant Panda Care Systems to survive...

  • the Mom who needed cancer treatment close to home, required medication that she couldn't afford, and needed help to get to doctors' appointments.

Every year, thousands of lives are changed for the better because we work together to make health care better in our community.
