Smile Cookie campaign raises more than $18,000 for Vernon Jubilee Hospital

The annual Tim Hortons Smile Cookie Campaign raised an amazing $18,774 through local cookie sales for the Vernon Jubilee Hospital this year.

Smilecookies, the chocolate chunk cookies decorated with blue eyes and an iconicpink smile were on sale from September 16-22, 2019. Through the nationalcampaign, customers could purchase the delicious cookies for only $1 plusapplicable taxes, with thefull proceeds going to local charities.

“We were blown away by thesuccess of this year's Smile Cookie campaign. We are tremendously proud of howour team members and guests came together to raise funds for healthcare in ourcommunity,” stated Danica Currie, Operations Manager, Tim Hortons Vernon. “Myparents Dan and Jamie Currie, local Tim Hortons owner-operators, have donated theproceeds from the Smile Cookie campaign to the Foundation for over ten years, andwe are proud to do so again.”

“We are gratefulto once again be the recipient of this generous donation from Tim Hortons andlocal owners Dan and Jamie Currie,” said Kate McBrearty, VJH FoundationExecutive Director. “Their long-time support means so much to us. We are verygrateful for their generosity.”

Tim Hortons has been supporting local communities throughthe Smile Cookie program since 1996. The program originally began in Ontario in1996 and has since expanded across Canada helping a variety of children’scharities, hospitals and community programs.
