Ricardo Scebba, Concetta Scebba & Sue Miller of Ricardo's Restaurant present Debra Pool and Dr Ed Hardy (Oncologist) with money raised through their Father's Day Fundraising event, to honour the memory of Philip Pool. Funds raised will be directed to Cancer Care at Vernon Jubilee Hospital.

• Vernon Vipers Raising Money For VJH Foundation! The Vernon Vipers launched their Strength in Numb3rs Campaign! For the remainder of their season, at every home game, where they have 2,500 fans attending $1000 will be donated to the Foundation and a sell out crowd (3,000 fans) means that donation will increase to $2,000!
  
  So bring you friends and family to watch the Vernon Vipers and support your community hospital!

• TD BANK FINANCIAL GROUP is providing $25,000 so nurses and other caregivers can upgrade their skills in preparation for the new technology coming with the building when it opens in September 2011. "We are delighted that TD is making this $25,000 donation to Vernon Jubilee Hospital Foundation in support of educational needs in our new hospital," said Laurie Postill co-chair of the Building a Tower of Care Campaign.

• SUBWAY CARES! On October 1st owners of all 4 Vernon Subway Restaurants donated all proceeds from the day and rasied $16,265 for the Building a Tower of Care Campaign! Thank you SUBWAY!

• New Board Member Welcomed
• Vernon Jubilee Hospital Foundation held it's Annual General Meeting on September 21, 2010 at the Temptasian Restaurant. Members of the Board reported on the Foundation's activities.  The Board was delighted to welcome Pat Furey, Acute Area Director, North Okanagan for Interior Health as a new Board Member. They also expressed their appreciation for the years of service given to the Board by outgoing Directors Sharon Whitby & Gary Holeman.

• Tim Hortons Smile Cookie Fundraiser raises $21,000! Thank you to Dan & Jamie Currie for their support - 10,500 cookies were sold in 1 week and the money raised was matched by the Curries.
