Do It For Dad

8 KM Run & 3 KM Walk

The Sport Chek Mother's Day Run & Walk was held on Sunday May 11 at Cold Stream Elementary School. The event raised over $22,000 in support of the purchase of a Urodynamic System and table. 

Planning is underway for the 9th Annual DO IT FOR DAD at Coldstream Ranch on Father's Day, Sunday June 15th.  Pledges stay in Greater Vernon and support Awareness, Testing & Treatment of Prostate Cancer.  "Early testing and treatment is key to battling this disease.  We all have men who are important in our lives...fathers, sons, husbands, brothers... Once again Vernon JCIs are organizing Paddle Against Cancer at Paddle Wheel Park, in support of the Tom McMurtry & Peter Baerg Cancer Centre at Vernon Jubilee Hospital.  Teams of 12 participants compete in outrigger canoes in this double knock-out competition.  Teams use their imagination and have lots of fun capturing the event theme.  This year's theme is "Eras In Time.  For more information go to www.paddleagainstcancer.com
