How to Give
Caregiving Angels | Monthly Giving | Memorial/Tribute Gifts | Restricted Funds
Annual Giving Message from the President, Greg Mussenden
On behalf of the Board of Directors I wish to thank each donor for the support given to the hospital.
The Vernon Jubilee Hospital Foundation is proud to work with community members of the North Okanagan to ensure that our health care professionals have the equipment they need to do their jobs. Often times we feel that government should fund these equipment needs, but we all know that there will never be enough government dollars to meet all of the health care needs in British Columbia.
Over the years, the VJH Foundation has raised millions of dollars to purchase state of the art medical equipment for our local health care network. Most of us value our good health, but when we or our loved ones face health issues, we quickly recognize the importance of having a strong health care system in our communities. Through annual and monthly giving, special events, planned gifts such as endowments and bequests you can make a difference – a difference for your family, your community, yourself.
Help the men and women who work hard to give you the healthcare you need, when you need it. Your gift will make a difference in the lives of our neighbours and perhaps even yourself.
Please give generously – it will make a difference in your life.
Caregiving Angels
The nurses, physicians, staff and volunteers that care for our patients and residents are very special people. Say thank you to your “special angel” by making a donation in their honour to the Vernon Jubilee Hospital Foundation. They will receive notification of your donation and our very special angel pin – a daily reminder of what they have meant to you in your life.

Monthly Giving
The Vernon Jubilee Hospital Foundation gratefully accepts monthly gifts. Monthly giving is a very effective way to give as you can spread your donation over the year and receive a substantial tax receipt at the end of the year.
Your donation can be easily processed each month by an automatic charge to your VISA, Mastercard or electronic funds transfer from your bank account (EFT). You can cancel or increase your gift at any time. The Foundation will still send our newsletters and campaign information so you are kept apprised of your donations at work.

Restricted Funds held by the VJH Foundation
Vernon Jubilee Hospital Foundation has a mandate to provide funds for the purchase of the most critically needed equipment for patient and resident care. Direction for the identification of “critically needed” is taken from the capital equipment process of the Interior Health staff, namely, the staff who provide patient care and have identified 1st priority items.
Each year, VJH Foundation agrees to fund a portion of the top priority list and this will remain the focus of fundraising efforts throughout the year.
Recognizing that our donors may wish to direct their gifts to certain areas and for specific items, restricted funds have been established. These funds will be used exclusively for the purchase of items in the area requested. However, unrestricted donations are encouraged whenever possible so that the VJHF can reasonably distribute the funds that have been entrusted to them to where they are needed the most.
policy on establishing restricted funds
VJHF Board of Directors may establish or delete a restricted fund at any time if there are conditions or circumstances that warrant such action. New funds may be established by contacting the VJH Foundation office.
