Celebrating 27 years of community giving, the VJH Foundation was established in 1981 as an independent society whose sole purpose is to raise capital funds for Vernon Jubilee Hospital. With the establishment of Interior Health in 2001 and the reorganization of health care in the North Okanagan, the Foundation's mandate changed.

Working with the community, the Foundation’s exists to enhance healthcare, improve programs and education in acute care, residential care, community and mental health.
In the 2006 – 2007 fiscal year, over $600,000 was raised to purchase a variety of priority capital equipment for Vernon Jubilee Hospital and its health care partners throughout the region. Currently the Foundation is preparing for a major campaign supporting the equipment needs for the new Patient Tower planned for Vernon Jubilee Hospital. Plans are underway for a fall launch.
