Supporting Excellence in Health Care in the North Okanagan

 

MISSION STATEMENT

 

Vernon Jubilee Hospital Foundation works with the community to raise funds to support excellence in health care by covering costs for equipment and services beyond those currently funded by other sources.

To solicit or otherwise encourage and to provide a medium for gifts, donations, bequests, endowments or other acquisition of funds and real and personal property or any kind for the purposes of:

 

 

  • furthering the interests of the Vernon Jubilee Hospital and its healthcare partners in the Interior Health North Okanagan Health Service Area;
  • enhancing patient care needs of the Vernon Jubilee Hospital and its healthcare partners in the Interior Health North Okanagan Health Service Area;
  • providing the Vernon Jubilee Hospital and its healthcare partners in the Interior Health North Okanagan Health Service Area with real property, and providing, constructing and acquiring buildings and equipment and other personal property for hospital facilities.To disburse, donate and make available the funds and the real and personal  property of the Society for the aforesaid purposes. rdlgst.jpg
  • administering scholarship funds.

PRIMARY OBJECTIVES:

a) FUNDRAISING

 To raise and allocate funds to the Vernon Jubilee Hospital and its healthcare partners in the Interior Health North Okanagan Health Service Area.

b) EDUCATION/AWARENESS

 To develop and foster an awareness and understanding among the general public  and volunteers of the need for alternate funding sources to ensure future health  care needs can be met.

c)   COMMITMENT

 To develop a strong sense of commitment from a variety of groups (i.e. Foundation  members, Hospital and Medical Staff, the Interior Health Authority, and the general public), for the Foundation’s Mission.

d)   RECOGNITION

 To ensure volunteers and contributors are appropriately recognized.
