Silver Star 75 KM Team Cross Country Ski Challenge and 30 KM A Charity Loppet benefitted the Vernon Jubilee Hospital Foundation and the Silver Star Nordic Racing Team
On February 3rd at Silver Star Mountain, skier of all caliber raised over $17,000. This event was part of the 2008 Vernon Winter Carnival. Many individuals and teams accepted the challenge and enjoyed the best that winter had to offer. Participants helped to raise funds for the Emergency Department at Vernon Jubilee Hospital Foundation and support the Silver Star Nordic Racing Team.

105.7 Sun FM's Annual "Have-a-Heart" Radiothon In Support of the Maternal Child Unit
105.7 Sun FM's fifth annual "Have-a-Heart" Radiothon was the best ever, raising $53,500 for the Maternal Child Unit at Vernon Jubilee Hospital. Radiothon hosts Brian Martin and Betty Selin and the 105.7 Sun FM team were live on location at the Real Canadian Superstore during the event. Thanks to SunFM, Betty and Brian and all of the people who supported this important event.

6th Annual Sport Chek's Mother's Day Run/Walk
The 2008 Sport Chek's Mother’s Day Run & Walk sponsored by the Forzani Group Foundation was held on May 11, 2008 at Coldstream Elementary School. Over 400 parents, grandparents and children of all ages, weathered the rain and participated in this healthy and fun activity. Over $22,000 was raised in support of a Urodynamic System and Table.

9th Annual DO IT FOR DAD Run/Walk presented by INTERIOR SAVINGS
The 9th Annual DO IT FOR DAD Run & Walk will take place on Sunday, June 15th at Coldstream Ranch. Participants will enjoy a 3 km walk or 8 km run through the ranch fields. Funds raised will support of Prostate Cancer support and awareness locally.

JCI Vernon’s 10th Annual Paddle Against Cancer
Vernon Jubilee Hospital Foundation and Vernon JCI are pleased to announce that the 2008 JCI Vernon’s Annual Paddle Against is planned for August 16th at Paddlewheel Park. Teams of 12 (10 paddlers and 2 alternate paddlers) will raised pledges in support of Cancer Care at the Hospital.
