Public Health Nurses at the Vernon Public Health Unit are delighted with the new breast pump donated by VJHFoundation. This important piece of equipment is now in use in the Health Unit's WEIGHT AND SEE program which assists new mothers experiencing difficulties with breast feeding. Every Friday, through the WEIGHT AND SEE prgram, Public Health nurses direct support to new families with babies between 10 days and 2 months of age.

VJHFoundation donation, of a new Glidescope to the Hospital, is most welcome addition to the Emergency Department This new piece of equipment allows staff the technology to facilitate intubation of airways of patients in crisis in the ER.

Lab Tech Cathy Mori and Section Head of the Histology Lab, Rudy Breitkreutz, staff members of the Vernon Jubilee Hospital Lab, are delighted with the arrival of the new Tissue Processer. The processer found its new home in mid January and has quickly been put into use on a daily basis.
Dollars raised at the September 2007 Foundation Gala funded the purchase of this important diagnostic tool. Many residents of the North Okanagan will receive the care they need, thanks to the addition of this piece of equipment.
