2008 Mother's Day Run Start at Coldstream Elementary School

SPORT CHEK MOTHER'S DAY RUN & WALK

Rain couldn’t dampen the spirits of over 400 participants and family members who came out to support the Sport Chek Mother’s Day Run and Walk. The event attracted an enthusiastic crowd who walked or ran in support of the Vernon Jubilee Hospital Foundation. Coldstream Elementary School was drenched in rain, but the smiles of the Little Legs Participants brightened the day.

The morning started with Denai Johnson of KISS FM leading the participants to the start line. She sounded the siren and the race was underway.

It is estimated that over $22,000 was raised to purchase an Urodynamics System & Table for the Urology Department at Vernon Jubilee Hospital.

Andrea Egan, Event Organizer, would like to thank the many participants, volunteers and sponsors who contributed to the success of the Event. “This event would not be possible without the 18 Vernon businesses that supported us.
