Without the support of the community, some of the major diagnostic and surgical equipment would not be available at Vernon Jubilee Hospital. We are grateful to the individuals, businesses and corporations, service clubs and community groups that have helped us to meet the urgent needs of our hospital.

Kal Rotary Club
made a multi-year commitment of support for the Building a Tower of Care Campaign. At their November 28th meeting, Laurie Postill, Campaign Co-chair and Sue Beaudry, Foundation Director of Development, presented information about equipment needs for the new Patient Care Tower. As Rotarian Frank Anderson said "It does one proud to be associated with such a worthy project."

Summer 2008
Summer residents of Klub Kalamalka on Kalamalka Lake raised $655.00 for the Patient Comfort Fund of the VJH Cancer Centre, in honour of Jack & Bonnie Ayriss, two Cancer survivors. On a beautiful summer's evening, complete with a perfect full moon, people raised the funds by testing & rating 8 different Chilies. The meal was followed by the entertainment of a group of four young adults call "KINSHIRA" who performed a fire dance on the beach.

Knights of Columbus Council 12202 Coldstream donated Limited Edition MARIA, a fine art giclee print on canvas, 1 of 95 prints to the Material Child Unit of Vernon Jubilee Hospital. The painting is now hanging on the walls in the existing unit. Once Mat/Child moves to the new Tower the painting will be relocated in the facility.

Vernon Jubilee Hospital Foundation assists Lumby and District Health Services Society with a donation of $25,000at the launch of their new campaign . The $150,000 goal is to purchase a new X-Ray machine for the Lumby Health Centre.

Representing the Hudson's Bay Company Foundation, Christine Hildebrandt of Vernon' Bay store, made a $1500 donation to Vernon Jubilee Hospital Foundation. Each year, as part of its philanthropic activities, HBC stores (Zellers, the Bay, Home Outfitters & Designer Depot) participate in fundraising activities.
